News Vetting and barring and CRBs The Home Office has recently announced changes to the proposed timetable for the phasing on of the new Vetting and Barring Scheme with the Independent Safegauarding Authority (ISA). The scheduled application date for individuals intending to work or currently working with children and/or vulnerable adults in England, Wales and Northern Ireland has now been postponed until July 2010. This means that July 2010 is now the earliest that people who intend to work or currently work with vulnerable clients can register with the ISA, with the actual legal requirement for registration starting in November 2010.
