Consultation on the Community Cohesion Strategy

Consultation is taking place across the county in each local area under the umbrella of the LSPs, along with a variety of countywide community- based fora such as the BME Sub-Regional Partnership, the Voluntary and Community Sector, Faith groups, and New Migrants Forum, with a specific piece of research dedicated to consulting with youths in the county. This is also being facilitated by secondary schools in the county.

Consultation on the Community Cohesion Strategy
Consultation is taking place across the county in each local area under the
umbrella of the LSPs, along with a variety of countywide community- based
fora such as the BME Sub-Regional Partnership, the Voluntary and Community
Sector, Faith groups, and New Migrants Forum, with a specific piece of
research dedicated to consulting with youths in the county. This is also
being facilitated by secondary schools in the county.

The Community Cohesion Strategy and its Delivery Plan have been through LAA
governance processes and were endorsed by the LAA Board in November 2007 in
draft form, pending wider consultation. A formal launch of the consultation
is taking place via website, press and media, with a summarised version of
the Strategy being available for the public via a network of websites
hyperlinked.

There are a number of questions contained in the back pages of the summary
document for the public to consider and make a response, however this is
not a full public consultation. It is also expected that the views of the
public will be represented to an extent through the Voluntary and Community
Sector engagement that is happening across the county. If you would like to
participate in the consultation you can find the consultation document and
questions at the following link
